Unless you’re the same height as a character from The Hobbit, you know the misery involved in air travel.
Legroom is basically non-existent, you’re crammed between a mixed bag of strangers and reprobates, and it’s generally about as enjoyable as a particularly sweet batch of root canal treatment.
But, what’s this? Since you asked, it’s a £250 million Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
Sadly, it’s only for private use, so you won’t be taking the mates to Ibiza, and you probably need the bankroll of the characters who swiped Kim Kardashian’s jewelery to be able to use it. But, still, look at it… Or let Stephen Vella of developers Kestrel Aviation Management give you the tour.
It seems epic. In fact, that’s the biggest understatement since the captain of the Titanic reacted to hitting an iceberg with ‘nah, just a scratch, it’ll polish out’ (this may or may not have happened).
The Boeing 787 Dreamliner looks completely, totally amazing. BAVIATION is saying there is 6,500+ square feet in cabin space and the crew also have their own resting space.
To be fair, they’ve thought of everything!
I won’t get too technical here but it has the kit to decrease airsickness and also filter out germs. So, no more snivelling into those plane blankets that feel like recycled toilet paper.
Apparently it has been bankrolled by an ‘anonymous Asian businessman’ and, to be fair, you would probably keep it quiet if you were packing that sort of dollar.
There are showers in en-suite bathrooms, walk-in wardrobes and every mod-con you could want. Any takers?
Those with good eyes will also have spotted pot plants behind Stephy V. Not sure about that. Looks a bit Changing Rooms. But as for the rest of it, sign us up.
